- Located on the border of Rajasthan and Gujarat, Mount Abu is the only hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan. It is a rocky plateau with Guru Shikhar being its highest peak at approximately 5650 ft above sea level.
- Considered an oasis in the desert, Guru Shikhar of Mount Abu is home to thick dense forests, rivers, lakes and waterfalls.
- Located at a very strategic location, Mount Abu was used by local warriors to safeguard themselves during attacks by climbing up the hill. It was also used by Rajput kings as a place to stay during the summers.
