  • Located on the border of Rajasthan and Gujarat, Mount Abu is the only hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan. It is a rocky plateau with Guru Shikhar being its highest peak at approximately 5650 ft above sea level.
  • Considered an oasis in the desert, Guru Shikhar of Mount Abu is home to thick dense forests, rivers, lakes and waterfalls.
  • Located at a very strategic location, Mount Abu was used by local warriors to safeguard themselves during attacks by climbing up the hill. It was also used by Rajput kings as a place to stay during the summers.
  • Located in the oldest mountain range, Aravali, Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is home to various rare species of flora and fauna. Apart from being a popular destination for nature lovers, it is also notable for its eco-tourism activities.

  • The Achalgarh fort of Mount Abu houses a number of temples. Among them, the Kanti Nath Jain temple is a visual spectacle with its gold-plated images and idols made of crystal-like stones. Another key attraction is the Achleshwar Mahadev temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to be built around his toe marks. This temple also features a natural Shivalinga and an idol of Nandi Maharaj, the cow that serves as Lord Shiva's vehicle. Weighing around four tonnes, this idol is made of metals such as copper, gold, silver, and bronze.
  • Nakki Lake is believed to be the first man-made lake in India. Also known as Nakki Jheel, it is a total delight for nature lovers. The lake is located in the center of the hill station and lovingly referred to as the "love lake" of Mount Abu.
  • Brahma Kumari, a spiritual faith community, has its headquarters in Mount Abu and invites millions of followers from all around the world.
  • A naturally occurring stone sculpture in the form of a tortoise, known as Toad Rock, is another key attraction of Mount Abu.
  • The man-made crocodile breeding farm, Trevor's Tank, also known as Trevor's Crocodile Park, is a must-visit place while in Mount Abu. Here, visitors can spot crocodiles resting on the shores and may even see black bears and various species of birds.
